So far so good, but will this record stand for long? Well I m talking about India and Pakistan encounters in the world cup. Till date no Pakistan team has been able to beta India in any of the world cup encounters that they played against each other. In the last world cup in the year 2003 where India was the eventual finalists, everyone had just written them off. But they proved everyone wrong and reached the finals and not only this they beat their Pakistan en route to the finals. In the 1996 world cup when the vent was held in the Asian sub continent and India beat Pakistan hands down in a league match. India and Pakistan matches have always generated huge hype and this is one event for which fans of both the countries look forward for.
